The Community Member representatives of the Committee (William Alexander, Joan Javier-Duval, and Kathryn Nunnelley) are especially seeking feedback from parents, caregivers, and community members at large. Please take a minute to fill out this anonymous survey ASAP. If you have any questions about this survey, please email Jim Murphy, School Board Chair at jimmurphy@mpsvt.org or Emma Bay-Hansen, School Safety & Police Relations Committee Chair at emmabay-hansen@mpsvt.org. - Picture Retake Day has Been Moved to a New Date: The new date for picture retakes will be Wednesday, December 16th. More information on the timing will be coming in the near future.
- PSAT for Sophomores and Juniors: On January 26, 2021 MHS will be administering the PSAT in school to all juniors and interested sophomores. The only students attending school on 1/26/21 will be those taking the PSAT since many of the classrooms will be used for testing. The district will cover the cost for juniors; the cost for sophomores is $17.00. Checks for sophomores should be made out to MHS and dropped off at the Guidance Office. For students who are not attending school in person, please send checks by mail.
- To register, please contact Nancy Fitzpatrick, Test Coordinator, by phone (225-8050) or email ( Nancyc@mpsvt.org). The deadline to register is tomorrow Tuesday, December 1st.
- The PSAT is great practice for the SAT which is typically taken at the end of junior year and usually again in the fall of senior year. Please read here for additional reasons why taking the PSAT is an important step in college planning. We strongly encourage all juniors to take advantage of this opportunity.

- Superintendent Bonesteel's Latest Message 11/25/20: Good Afternoon MRPS - At yesterday's press conference the Governor informed the public that schools would be asking a new screening question each morning before school. All MRPS schools will be asking students if they have taken part in a multi-household gathering. If the answer is yes to this question, students are required, under state guidance, to quarantine for 14 days or quarantine for 7 days, take a test, and return to school with a negative result. If you choose to gather together with people outside of your own home, including on Thanksgiving, your children will be required to quarantine. Teachers teaching in-person will have updated google classrooms for students to access in quarantine. Their primary focus, however, will remain on in-person instruction. In addition, the Governor also announced the delay of winter sports. Please be well and safe over the next few days. Our ability to continue with in-person instruction depends on it. Libby Bonesteel-Superintendent of Schools.

MASK QUALITY: Masks that are single layers are not recommended. Masks need to be 2 layers or more. The disposable masks, otherwise known as surgical masks, do offer a little more protection than cloth masks. Masking only works when we are all masking as a group.
POP UP TESTING:Here is the link for pop up testing. This is for people who are not having symptoms. It looks like they want you to make an appointment instead of walking in, although there seems to be some walk in’s available in certain places. https://www.healthvermont.gov/
