Good morning MHS Families, Guardians and Students,
In today’s communication you will find the schedule for the 2020-2021 school year. Here is a 30-minute presentation where I will walk you through the process of how we arrived at this schedule, what considerations were taken to create it, and then a walkthrough of an example. You'll find all necessary information in the Parent/Guardian FAQ Sheet and the MHS Student FAQ sheets. Yes, there is a lot of information here, but please take the time to watch the video and read the FAQ sheets in detail as there are many questions that will be answered through both.
The letter that was sent out by Libby Bonesteel on July 23 included a survey that asked families to commit to in person or remote instruction by August 3rd. We are extending this deadline to Wednesday, August 5th. We are collaborating with Jeff Renard, Director of VTVLC (Vermont Virtual Learning Collaborative), for a Town Hall meeting on Monday, August 3rd 5:00-5:45 pm for families who are interested in knowing more about the fully remote program that will be run through VTVLC. It will be recorded and posted on the Solon Salutes Blog as an update to this post. You can access the Town Hall meeting at this link: https://vtvlc.zoom.us/j/93498311854.
Should you still have questions, please feel free to reach out to me directly. I will plan to be on email throughout the weekend.
I appreciate your patience as we go through the thoughtful process in bringing a new schedule to the school year.
