MHS Update: August 3, 2020

Happy Monday to each of you--

Updated 7:00 pm August 3:

Updated for VTVLC Webinar: Written Q and A from VTVLC WebinarWebinar Video

I will update this post either later this evening or tomorrow morning with a recording of the webinar with VTVLC Director, Jeff Renard. We will begin promptly this evening at 5 pm and end at 5:45. You can access the link here:  https://vtvlc.zoom.us/j/93498311854.  There were many questions in Thursday's Town Hall that were about VTVLC. You can ask those questions this evening, and we have also provided Jeff a list that has been generated so that he can try to address them this evening.

As mentioned, MRPS is holding a community-wide Town Hall on Thursday at 6:30. I've had an opportunity to review some of the questions/comments for the Town Hall, and because we want there to be equal air time for questions across the district, I have started to answer some of the questions HERE.

We do understand that this schedule does not and will not meet the needs of everyone in the district. We have done our best to put safety at the forefront of our thinking, while creating a schedule that brought many perspectives together under one framework. Of course there will be a plethora of questions with something so new and uncertain. What's not uncertain is our staff and teachers' continued commitment to your children. We will work diligently to resolve the many details and questions associated with a new schedule in such a short time frame. I will continue to update you as those details unfold.

Thank you.
