2018-19: Week 36

A Solon Salute to the junior Prom Committee for hosting a great prom this weekend! Members include MaryAnn Songhurst, Leah Acosta, Makayla Alber, Christie Cecere, Jenna Krussman, Catherine Hennessey, Juna Nagle, Mei Dwyer-Frat, Anja Samsom, Mandy Abu Aziz, and Warren Cossett. Also special thanks to prom advisor, Liz Bailey, and chaperones--Ms. Myotte, Mr. Chater, Ms. MachnikNancy Fitzpatrick, and Mr. McLane. Thank you also to National Life for hosting us again this year too!

A Solon Salute to Braeden Adams, Aquinnah Fleischer, Chloe Reynolds and Caleb Richardson for their persuasive testimony to the House Natural Resources committee about a potential single-use plastic bag and straw ban. They were so poised and inspiring!

A Solon Salute to Cypress Levitt who recently tried out for and made the Women's Divisional National VT/NH Lacrosse team! This is a team made up of the best players in Vermont and New Hampshire and competes at a national level. They are traveling to Baltimore for a tournament over Memorial Day weekend. Congrats Cypress!

A Solon Salute to Daniel Burns, who recently presented at the Vermont State Science Fair. The project was an experiment to determine if Yagi-Uda type antennas can be further optimized to increase efficiency and functionality. This experiment was the first step in finding a way to reduce these unintended areas of radiation, and build a more efficient and effective transmission antenna.

A Solon Salute to Earl Fechter and his mentor, Eslam Eid at Izzytech. Through Eslam's guidance this semester,  Earl has done an incredible job of learning the intricacies of cell phone repair and customer service. Well done Earl and thank you Eslam!

A Solon Salute to our MHS Greenhouse Lettuce!
