Congratulations to Liam Hecht who was awarded an Honorable Mention at the 2020 Vermont Presidential Scholar for Arts Awards. Way to go Liam! 



A Solon Salute to Neil Rohan, Carly King, Tristan Timpone, Christie Cecere and Eve Taylor, who presented about their PLPs and Community Based Learning experiences to Mr. Taylor's 7th and 8th graders at MSMS .  Thank you for sharing your insights about the possibilities of pursuing Flexible Pathways at MSMS!


A Solon Salute goes out to Molly Clark and the MHS Honor Choir for sharing their beautiful voices at the holiday senior event in Barre! 

ACADEMICS
Save the Date: There will be an incoming 9th grade parent orientation on February 12th from 6:30-8:00 pm in the MHS library. If you have a current 8th grader, please be on the lookout in your mail for more details on this evening. 

Flexible Pathways: Students and parents are encouraged to regularly check the Work, Volunteer and Extended Learning Opportunities page on the Community Based Learning Website.  New opportunities are added weekly.

    ENRICHMENT INFORMATION

    Please join the UES Parents Equity Committee on Wednesday, January 29th in the UES cafeteria to be a part of a discussion around Ibram X. Kendi's book, How to be an Anti RacistLight refreshments and snacks will be provided, and if you need childcare, please email uesequity@gmail.com by January 24th. You do not need to have read the book to participate 

    COMMUNITY NEWS

    Save the Date, Save the Bottles

    The Montpelier Baseball team will be hosting a RETURNABLE BOTTLE DRIVE on Wednesday, January 29, at Montpelier High School.  Drop off your returnable bottles and cans off before school when you drop off your student or after school when you pick up your student.  Proceeds will be used by the Montpelier High School Baseball Team to attend spring training at the historic Dodgertown facility in Florida.


    When: Wednesday, January 29.  

    Collection times will be:
    ·       Morning drop off: 7:45-8:30,  Afternoon pick up: 2:45-3:30, Late afternoon: 3:30-5:30           pm 

    Where:  Montpelier High School
