A Solon Salute to the Class of 2019. They participated in their senior day of service through the rain on Wednesday. They removed 9,000 pounds (!) of old materials from the UES basement, and helped refresh the MHS garden space. A few pizzas made it into the pizza kiln too. You all did a great job, thank you! And thanks to Liz Swindell, Adina Trager, Mr. Sabo, Tom Allen, Mr. Bromley, and Mr. McLane for their help in organizing and leading the day.
A Solon Salute to all of the sophomore students, teachers, and community partners who worked together collaboratively, creatively and reflectively on the BLUEPRINTS: MAPPING OUR CONNECTIONS THROUGH EMPATHY project. Thursday evenings project culminating art installation at MHS was simply stunning! And special thanks to resident artists and community partners, Evan Premo, Gowri Savoor, Mary Wesley, Theresa Murray Clasen and Paul Gambill and our many many community members who volunteered to be interviewed as part of the Blueprints project. Ohhhhh.... and two more appreciations go to Adam Blair and Sue Monmaney for their strong technical support of preparing the installation. What a fantastic project! Well done Solons.
