2018-19: Week 12

Current Programs: Digital Media Arts 1&2, Building Trades, Baking Arts, Cosmetology, Exploratory Technology, Human Services, Plumbing and Heating, Electrical Technology, Automotive Technology, Culinary Arts, Emergency Services, Natural Resources and Sustainability, Medical Professions, and Cooperative Education and Work-based Learning. Open to the public- no pre-registration needed.

A Solon Salute to Nancy Fitzpatrick for the ongoing dedication and care that she takes as the MHS Registrar! So many important things go unnoticed by many and yet, are such important elements of our school community. We salute you!!

A Solon Salute to the many members of Interact Club for their hours of community service in October. They volunteered at the Enchanted Forest, the Rec. Department's Halloween party and the Karen Kitzmiller Coat Drive. They also picked over 1200 pounds of apples for food shelves. A special shout out goes to Alex Smart, Katie Desch, and Leyla Khasiyeva who volunteered at two or more of the events. Thank you for giving up your time to help others!

A Solon Salute to Jalila Nazerali Ruddy, Sophia Clark, and Mikaela Luke-Currier, who participated in a Central Vermont Reading to End Racism event at Union Elementary School this past Thursday. Each of these students chose a book to share with a kindergarten class, developed discussion questions, and led a discussion with the students. Thank you, Jalila, Sophia and Mikaela for inspiring and engaging children through this activity!

A Solon Salute to class-of-'89 MHS graduate, Kim D’Arthenay. Kim was recently named Colorado Art Educator of the year. 

A Solon Salute to Susha Benoit (grade 9) and Leyla Khasiyeva (exchange student from Azerbaijan) who uncovered their shared knowledge and the chance to practice their developing skills in the Russian language through friendship and fun.
