2017-18: Week 37

A Solon Salute to the MHS Lacrosse Team. The team participated in the 2018 COTS Walk last weekend in Burlington.
Thank you Charlie Watson for the photo

A Solon Salute to the MHS Boosters. Thank you for the beautiful educator appreciation breakfast and the extra TLC for all of us this past week. We sincerely appreciate your kindness, time, and partnership!

A Solon Salute to CBL Community Partner Susie Otis who has warmly involved Anna Sarquiz, Kat Pringles and Biyorkuri Bidameri in their respective CBL experiences this year at Heaton Woods (assisted living facility). Susie is the Activities Director at Heaton Woods and is great; she's fun, creative, energetic and welcoming. Here are a few images from one of Anna's CBL projects interviewing and photographing residents and Kat painting the nails of Heaton Woods resident, Dottie Witzenberger, who will turn 100 years old in July.

A Solon Salute and thanks to the voter representatives from Calais who volunteered their time this past week to help get MHS students registered to vote! They successfully registered 27 MHS students. Fantastic! The representatives also commented how welcome they felt in their conversations with students during their time at the school.

A Solon Salute to Ms. Knauss and the student leaders who led the latest session of THE CONVERSATION this past Thursday during Solon Block.

A Solon Salute to the warmer weather. Students were enjoying the Vitamin D in the Steve Metcalf Courtyard this week.
Thank you Ms. Monmaney for the photo

A Solon Salute to Mr. Bromley and the Applied Chemistry Students who had the pizza kiln going. Tasted great! The pizza kiln will be serving pizza during and after the Corporate Cup this Thursday. If you are looking for a great slice of pizza or two, be sure to stop by.
Thank you Ms. DiLena for the photo

A Solon Salute to planning room coordinator Reed McCracken. Mr. McCracken was recently named the new high school principal for White River Valley High School (recent merger of South Royalton and Bethel). Congratulations!
