2016-17 Week 28

A Solon Salute to Montpelier's Scholars' Bowl team of Asa Richardson-Skinder, Matt Koucky, Angus Fraser, Graham Janson, and Nathan Grutchfield. They were the top Vermont high school team in Friday's National Academic Quiz Tournament championships held at Spaulding High School. This team went 6-3 on the afternoon defeating teams from Champlain Valley, Essex, St. Johnsbury, Woodstock, BFA-St.-Albans. By virtue of this achievement, MHS has qualified for the national NAQT championship! Our second team in the competition, made up of Henry Jones, Henry Valentine, Omeed Fallahi, and Clayton Winters, in a tough division, compiled a 3-5-1 record in the competition. The team did well in defeating Fair Haven, two teams from South Burlington, and tied St. Johnsbury.

A Solon Salute to English teacher Ms. McCadden who will have her poetry featured in an upcoming concert. (Click here for more details on the event)
