2016-17: Week 11

A Solon Farmer Salute to Connor Barrett and Zak Grupp for taking extra time to plant and prep the 2017 MHS garlic crop.

A Solon Salute to all of the MHS students for the respect they showed during this year's Veteran's Day Parade. A Solon Salute to Brian Gallagher for helping to organize, Cindy Bubrouski for her work on the photo display and Grant Geisler for his service and PA announcement to MHS. Many thanks!

A Solon Salute to Sarah Loveless for your tenacity and industriousness in addressing and helping the CBL team overcome an assessment challenge that has challenged us for awhile. Well done and thanks!! (The CBL team)

MHS recently received the Exxon Mobil Educational Alliance Grant to be used for support in the areas of Math and Science. A Solon Salute to our Exxon Mobil Station on Berlin Street for nominating Montpelier High School for this generous $500 grant!

A Solon Salute to the Fall Harvest Cookie Makers. On Wednesday, November 2, the cookies you made were delivered to all the schools in the valley. I went with a student, Bob Powell, to Thatcher Brook Elementary School and Crossett Brook Middle School. The response we received from both schools is hard to put into words, but to say they were grateful and touched would be an understatement. Sarah Loveless and Bill Laidlaw delivered the remainder of the cookies, and they had the same reaction. The recipients wanted you to know how thankful they were and appreciative of what you had done for them. I thought you would like to know, so thank you very much, -Katrina Phillips.

A Solon Salute to the Seniors on the Project Grad Team. They were busy raising money by having a bake sale at city hall. Pictured here are Emma Murray Clausen, Theresa Noonan, and advisor Morgan Glines, selling some items to Secretary of State, Jim Condos.
