Week 24

A Solon Salute to Ivan Jerymn who recently was chosen as a Vermont Distinguished Finalist in The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards. Ivan was honored for his countless hours touring with Circus Smirkus over the past few summers. His work with the circus has helped to raise money for charities throughout New England.

A Solon Salute to 1997 MHS graduates Dan Abdo and Jason Patterson. These two now work as animators and recently had one of their short videos, Lily And The Snowman, aired before the new Star Wars Movie across Canada. "I am soooo proud...Woot Woot!" (From Barb).

A Solon Salute to Anna Bennett who recently participated in the Burlington Penguin Plunge to raise money for Special Olympics. just told me that she took the Penguin Plunge this past Saturday. Anna reported that the water was 19 degrees. Brave! We salute you Anna!  

A Solon Salute to Isaac Mears, as he will be attending Johns Hopkins in the fall and will run XC for their team. Congratulations Isaac! (From Matt Link). 

A Solon Salute to Alex Rob and Tom Yefchak for their help with providing after school coverage in the library. The library (or nearby classroom, if the library is being used for a meeting) is now open until 4:00 pm Monday-Thursday. We salute you! (From Ms. Monmaney).

A Solon Salute to Cindy Bubrouski and Whitney Machnik for leading the efforts during kindness week. Thank you to all the TAs who participated in the making a kindness poster. Well done MHS!


A Solon Salute to our local Exxon-Mobil Station for nominating Montpelier High School for a generous $500 grant! The Exxon-Mobil Educational Alliance Grant to be used for maintenance and support in the areas of Math and Science. Thank you and we salute you!
