A Solon Salute to Emily Montague and Naomi Pitt for their patience. (From Mr. McRaith)

A Solon Salute to the MHS Scholar's Bowl Teams. Last Satuday, MHS hosted the Vermont Scholars' Bowl state championship playoffs.  While our varsity team (Michael Roach, Isaac Mears, Graham Jansen, Nathan Grutchfield, Clayton Winters, and Angus Fraser) did not qualify to move on, they did very well considering the competition. They competed against teams from Burlington, Spaulding, and Essex, and defeated teams from Lamoille and St. Johnsbury, going 2-3  on the day.  Congratulations to them! Our junior varsity team (Cole Bingham, Henry Jones, Asa Skinder-Richardson, Banyan Thompson, and Matt Koucky) also competed against Division I schools. They won three out of four rounds and finished fourth out of 16 teams, behind CVU and two teams from South Burlington. They were out of second place by only .52 of a point. Again, congratulations to all who participated. We had a great season and MHS has an excellent core group of underclassmen which has us looking forward to continued success in the coming years. (From Mr. Tillitson).

A big thank you and Solon Salute to Ben Crane and Emma Polen for the return of the concessions stand for the basketball season. Several members of Student Council have helped in this effort  but Ben and Emma deserve special recognition (From Mr. Chater).

Our class would like to give a Solon Salute to Steve Bailey. He is a community member who volunteers in our AP Computer Science class each week. It is so nice to have another person to help with our debugging and problem solving! (From AP Computer Science Class).
